Honda motor is one of them. Honda entered the Indian market with the top end sedans like the Honda city, Honda accord and an SUV called the Honda CRV. Ever since its entry into the Indian market, Honda has been a major player in the Indian automotive scene. Its top models like the Honda city, accord and CRV have done pretty especially in cities. Recently, Honda upgraded all the cars in its stable with the launch of new models of the Honda City and The Honda accord. The latest models of these cars are a lot sleeker and better looking than the previous models.

The Latest Accord that was launched is a true beauty and comes packed with a lot of exciting features and loads of power. The car belongs to the luxury segment because of its size and of course, the high price tag.

This model of the Honda Accord is the eighth generation model. The Honda Accord price ranges from anywhere between Rs 18.5 lakhs to Rs 26.3 lakhs. The Honda Accord price varies depending on the model. The higher end models have better features and obviously cost more than the basic models.

Engine

Under the Accord’s hood lays a very power full and advance i-VTEC engine, which generates a whooping 180 PS @ 6500 RPM. The Accord delivers good fuel economy too. The car is available in either manual or automatic transmission.

Design and Interiors:

The length of the accord has been increased a bit more than the previous model. Honda has also increased the cabin space of the accord, now there is more room between the front and rear seats and hence much more leg room. The exteriors look really attractive, the front grille and the dazzling head lamps go well together. This model o0f the Accord is more attractive than its predecessors.

Overall, the Accord is an excellent car that is sure to turn heads when you drive around in it. Don’t worry about the price, because it offers really good drive and comfort which it competitors struggle to provide.

Rumours suggest that the Bugatti Galibier 16C has been approved for production and will go on sale around 2013 at a price of about £900,000 . The Galibier is a four-door concept car that will probably earn the title of the world’s fastest sedan.

It shares its 16 cylinder 8.0-litre powerplant with the Veyron but its power will be detuned from the coupe’s 747kW (1001hp) and 1250Nm of torque. Although power will be less, top speed is expected to reach 220mph. Driving the wheels will be a new 8-speed automatic transmission fitted in place of the Veyron’s DSG.

And although the Galibier is a far more luxurious proposition than its coupé brother, it will still pack a punch. Boasting a detuned 800bhp version of the Veyron’s engine, plus a lightweight body made of aluminium and carbon fibre, its top speed should be a highly impressive 220mph.

The 16C is also set to get an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission instead of the Veyron’s twin-clutch DSG unit.

We hope to see the Galibier in the metal at one of the upcoming international motor shows such as Los Angeles or Detroit.

Since 1986, millions of Ford Taurus models have been sold, a testimony to a midsize sedan that offers value, good styling, plenty of interior room and reliability. During the late 1990s, an unfortunate design change turned off thousands of customers, but in recent years the Taurus has been making a come back, currently in the form of a full sedan sedan for the Ford fleet.

The 2010 model is the most dramatic update for the Taurus since its inception. Larger than ever before, Ford decided to forgo mass volume in exchange for a full size sedan segment leader, one that the automaker hopes will shine the light on the rest of the Ford line up. Judging by its looks, the all new Taurus succeeds, but it may be under the hood where the new Taurus truly shines.

Reviving The Taurus Franchise

The Taurus nearly died in 2007 when the automaker decided not to maintain production of the sedan. For years, sales had been lagging and the Taurus name no longer represented design flair, cutting edge technology or value, attributes found in the first generation model. Instead, the bulbous shaped Taurus was ugly, outdated and no longer a contender to new segment leaders, the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.

But Ford’s new CEO, ex-Boeing chair Alan Mulally, had a different idea. Instead of dumping a damaged, but still well known product line, Mulally convinced Ford executives to rename its larger Five Hundred model the Taurus. That move allowed Ford to keep the Taurus alive long enough to bring the next generation model to the market, a new sedan introduced Summer 2009.

The 2010 Ford Taurus will not ever match the sales levels of the late 1980s and early 1990s, when the Taurus was the best selling car in America, selling more than 400,000 units annually. Instead, Ford will be satisfied if the bigger and more expensive Taurus sells at least 50,000 units during its first year with hopes of eventually peaking at 100,000 units within a few years time.

Redefining The Ford Taurus

The change in the Taurus’ direction is significant as Ford seeks to redefine what it means to be a full sized sedan, let alone what it means to be a Taurus. A five passenger model, the cockpit of the Taurus is smartly designed for the second decade of the 21st century.

Ford SYNC, a hands-free voice-activated calling, MP3 and GPS system is standard across the Taurus line. A Sony stereo provides unmatched sound while push button start is standard. Ford’s MyKey technology, which is innovative technology to track and warn teen drivers whose driving habits may put themselves in danger is also included. And, to emphasize the sedan’s sport flair, shift paddles allow drivers to have a much more engaging driving experience.

Safety features in the Taurus are abundant and include a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) which helps drivers avoid swerving into a lane occupied by another driver, rain sensing wipers, auto high beams, rear camera and power sunshade. Side impact air bags and a safety canopy with rollover sensor is also included. Indeed, a number of the features found in the Taurus are not offered by its direct competitors but are much like what Lexus, BMW and Mercedes might offer in its similar sized sedans.

Introducing EcoBoost Technology

The Ford Taurus also helps to introduce EcoBoost engine technology which is being rolled out in select Ford and Lincoln models beginning with the 2010 model year. That optional engine, a 3.5L EcoBoost™ 24-valve DOHC V6, delivers V8 power but maintains V6 fuel economy. Indeed, with 365 horsepower and an amazing 350 lb.-ft of torque, the ginned up Taurus has power numbers rivaling some of the top sport coupes on the market. Standard engine is a 3.5L Duratec V6; both engines are paired with six-speed automatic transmissions which helps the Taurus achieve class leading fuel economy levels. Front wheel drive is standard; all wheel drive is optional.

The 2010 Ford Taurus offers so many more improvements over the 2009 and earlier models. With Ford sales now on a roll, the Taurus should contribute to Ford’s success, helping the renowned automaker find its way in a rapidly changing automotive market.

Still, several manufacturers introduced the “four-door coupe” theme earlier, including BMW with its X6 and Mercedes-Benz with its CLS sedan.

According to Acura, the ZDX features the world’s first continuous glass surface, extending from hood to bumper to bracket the panoramic sunroof. When closed, the power roller sunshade allows only three percent of outside light to reach occupants. With the shade open, 20 percent of light reaches the interior. Acura promises two-passenger comfort inside the ZDX, but with seating capacity for up to five occupants.

Beneath the low hood, a 3.7-liter VTEC V-6 engine develops 300 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, driving a new six-speed automatic transmission. Paddle shifters are mounted at the steering wheel. In Drive mode, a touch on the paddle provides a gear change. S-range gives the driver full control of shifts. When operating automatically, a double-kickdown can occur when necessary.

Front/rear torque distribution from the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system ranges from 90/100 to 30/70, taking place automatically. Left/right, the torque distribution stretches all the way from 100/0 to 0/100: all to none, applied to wheels on either side.

Enhanced intake and exhaust sounds yield “a little bit of exciting flavor in the upper rpm areas,” said principal engineer Jason Widmer. Otherwise, Active Noise Cancellation and other engineering features help keep the ZDX pleasantly quiet. All models roll on 255/50×19-inch tires, but the ZDX suspension may be set for either Comfort or Sport mode. Fifteen sensors react to road conditions, altering the suspension’s effect as needed.

On the whole, the ZDX doesn’t yield a truly car-like experience, because its SUV underpinnings are too evident. Handling is a prime enticement, as the ZDX driver enjoys appealing steering feel and fine feedback, along with the bonus of Acura’s SH-AWD system, in case the weather turns foul.

Delivering a comparatively firm ride overall, the ZDX hits an occasional bump hard. Such incidents are appropriate for an SUV-based vehicle, but less so for what’s deemed a sports coupe. Sufficiently supple in suspension capability, this four-door recovers nicely from any excess reaction. Acceleration qualifies as enthusiastic, if not exactly startling, perhaps not quite as dramatic as some sport-coupe enthusiasts might crave.

Getting inside demands a moderate climb?almost like some actual SUVs. Substantial side bolstering cradles the driver snugly, but these serious yet comfortable seats are abundantly cushioned, augmented by superior thigh support. The rear seat is more comfortable and roomy than anticipated, but substantial head-ducking may be needed to twitch one’s body into the back. Cargo space totals 26.3 cubic feet with the second-row seats up; 55.8 with those seats folded.

Gauges are readable but dim in darker light conditions. Over-shoulder views are somewhat impaired. Visibility directly astern is split by a thick horizontal bar; nearly everything is seen through the upper pane, which is adequate but squat. The driver faces Acura’s first hand-stitched leather dashboard.

On sale around mid-December, the Canadian-built ZDX will be priced between the MDX sport-utility vehicle and the RL sedan, which puts it in the mid-$40,000 neighborhood. Three versions will be offered, starting with the base model, which includes a standard power tailgate. The Technology Package adds Acura’s navigation system, with Real Time Traffic information and a Weather Radar View. Lane Guidance can show which lane to be in, when anticipating a turn. The multi-view backup camera can provide a normal, wide, or top view. In base models, the 8-speaker audio system is rated at 266 watts. ELS Surround Sound is part of the available Technology Package.

When thinking of Aston Martin and their line of supreme cars, racing and supreme style come immediately to mind. Within a very short time, Aston Martin has made a niche in the racing market and wooed car fanatics around the world with their sleek beauty and above average handling. Topping the list as Britain’s most iconic vehicle, it comes out ahead as the first choice for ‘Ultimate Dream Cars’ with UK drivers. Surprisingly enough, it beats out even Ferrari and Porsche models. In just 2 short years the Aston Martin models have obtained Ferrari-style exclusivity among buyers. These cars have topped the ‘Coolest Brand’ list for cars 2 years running. The Aston Martin has even made appearances in a couple of James Bond 007 movies.

Production of these fine cars have grown to more than 5,000 cars per year and many are waiting to see if the momentum will continue since Ford has sold Aston Martin to a private consortium led by Prodrive founder David Richards for more than $925 million.

Aston Martin has recently released the special edition 2008 DB9 LM at the Frankfurt motor show to commemorate Aston’s recent achievements in the GT1 class at the 24 hours of Le Mans racing circuit this past June. The elegance and supreme vision of this fine machine is coveted throughout Britain and the world. Would Aston Martin remodel a new machine each time they win a race? No one is quite sure yet, but I am sure there won’t be many complaints if they do.

Respected publishers such as Popular Mechanics, Car and Driver, Automobile Magazine all have raved about the quality and design of the new DB9 LM. I have yet to encounter a single negative comment about this fine piece of machinery. This vehicle is the most thoroughly tested and engineered car in the history of Aston Martin. It also belongs in a technically sophisticated class of its very own.

The Aston Martin DB9, is a Grand tourer vehicle that was launched by Aston Martin in 2004 and was the first new car to be built at Aston’s Gaydon, Warwickshire facility. The prefix of “DB” comes from David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin for a large part of its manufacturing history. This model was designed by Ian Callum and finished by his successor, Henrik Fisker.

This new product is available in the coupe style only, is equipped with rear-wheel drive and comes with a dynamic Touchtronic 6-speed automatic transmission. Amazingly enough, only 124 DB9 LMs will be manufactured, 1 for each dealer, with exclusive features entailing Sarthe Silver exterior coloring, enclosing silver mesh grille inserts, exterior vents and a rear crossbar detailed in silver. A numbered sill plaque is a nice touch with the also optional DB9 sports suspension pack with red brake calipers visible under color-keyed and diamond turned 19 alloy inch wheels. The disc brakes with 355 mm at the front and 330 at the rear are ventilated and grooved to help with cooling and boost braking performance. Mounted are four piston monobloc calipers to provide great stopping power with a firm and progressive pedal.

The driving force of the DB9 LM is the Ford-engineered 450 horsepower, 6.0-liter aluminum block and valvetrain, Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC), which echoes fine performance. The newest release has rack and pinion steering with 3.0 turns lock to lock. The exceptional performance of this vehicle is undisputed at to speeds up to 300 km/h (186.5 mph) and the 0-60 ratio is in only 4.7 seconds. The 12-cylinder engine has a total of 450 (331.2 KW) horsepower at 6,000 rpm. The torque is 570.00 NM (420.3 Ft-Lbs) at 5,000 rpm. The compression ratio is 10.3:1. The top speeds are quite comparable to the Dodge Viper.

The body frame of the DB9 LM is bonded in aluminum and has been labeled as the most technologically advanced sports car. It acquires above average agility from the fact that it has perfect 50/50 weight distribution. One exceptional characteristic of this shows that by placing the gearbox in the rear, the suspension is light and made of aluminum as well; handling is unprecedented and very functional. The dimensions of the BD9 LM are similar in size to the Dodge Viper.

The Aston Martin body is of genuine quality and harmony. It emits an aerodynamic function that cannot be outdone by its competitors. These fine pieces of machinery are designed to give the impression that they are moving even when at a standstill. It manages to drive arrow-straight at extremely high speeds and yet still keeps it’s grace about it.

Even the interior of the Astin Martin is harmonious and luxurious. You are seated as low and close to the car’s center of gravity managing to emit to you the overall feeling of balance and dynamic behavior when operating. The inside is a special handcrafted black leather interior, perforated leather inserts, with unique ‘Terte Rouge’ fascia trim.

Personal safety is of utmost importance for the DB9 LM. The aluminum structure is designed to cocoon its passengers with crumple zones on the front and rear. Dual-stage driver and passenger air bags along with seat-mounted side airbags and seatbelt pretensioners give safety of the highest quality. Volvo in Sweden is the leader in automotive safety engineering. Astin uses this dynamic to create and test their DB9 models with Volvo technology right on site.

Equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), the Aston Martin give optimal braking performance for any situation. When an emergency arises, the EBA sensors detect when maximum braking is needed and apply the appropriate force for the occasion.

And for your listening pleasure, the DB9 is equipped with the industry favorite Linn 128 W audio system including a CD changer. Exceptional features such as satellite navigation, cruise control and memory mirrors are exceptional to have with this sports car.

Pricing is estimated at $190,000 US and the cars will be available in early 2008.
