How To Trouble Shoot Automotive Exhaust Systems Problems
Troubleshooting an Automotive Exhaust Systems, is not always as easy as hearing a noise. Of course, hearing problems associated with the exhaust system would indicate a problem in that area. Sometimes however, you have to use more than just hearing to find the problem.
Visual inspection is one good way of determining a problem that exists within a system. Start in the area of the exhaust manifold and look for any signs of burning of the spark plug wires or boots or paint on the cylinder head. Inspect the whole area of where the exhaust manifold is. Visually check the manifold for any cracks as well.
